Instant Target Acquisition with 1.6x Bigger Eyebox

A larger ocular eyepiece creates a more forgiving eyebox with 3.5" of eye relief, helping shooters achieve a faster, more consistent sight picture from various shooting positions.

Choose Your Reticle: VPR or TOR

The OUTRIDER offers two Second Focal Plane (SFP) reticle options, maintaining a consistent reticle size throughout the magnification range for a clear, intuitive aiming reference.

TOR | Extreme Competition

A dense 16 MIL holdover grid designed for maximum elevation holds without dialing.

0.2 MIL subtensions:Higher-density reference spacing for enhanced wind and impact correction
0.05–0.08 MIL floating center dot:Optimized for extreme-distance target definition
Fully illuminated reticle:Improved visibility and aiming precision

Built for PRS/NRL competition and rimfire precision shooting where extended elevation range and fine aiming control are critical.

VPR | Classic Precision

A 12 MIL holdover grid designed for precise holds, wind calls, and faster follow-up shot corrections.

0.25 MIL subtensions:Clean reference spacing for fast, intuitive holds
0.04–0.08 MIL floating center dot:Low-profile aiming point designed for minimal target obstruction

Ideal for range work, hunting, and mid- to long-range shooting where control and repeatability matter most.

Dial with Confidence

Precision-machined tactile turrets deliver repeatable tracking you can trust shot after shot, supported by Torx screws with O-ring sealing for long-term stability.

Arken Zero Stop
Repeatable Return to Zero

The Arken Zero Stop (AZS) system provides a positive stop after multiple full turret rotations, enabling a fast and reliable return to zero.

INFORMATION QUESTIONS

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q1. What makes the EP-5 GENII 5-25x56 turret feel and Arken Zero Stop stand out?

Tactile Turret Adjustments: The EP-5 GENII 5-25x56 is designed to deliver an exceptionally crisp and tactile turret feel, giving shooters more confidence when making adjustments on the fly or under the clock. Each click feels more defined, which helps with fast, accurate corrections on a long-range rifle scope.

Arken Zero Stop (AZS) System: The AZS system provides a positive, repeatable return to zero after multiple turret rotations, so you can dial for distance and come back to your base zero quickly and reliably.

Q2. How do I choose between the VPR reticle and the TOR reticle?

The right choice comes down to your shooting style and primary use.

The VPR reticle is a great fit for shooters who prefer a cleaner sight picture for range work, and general mid- to long-range shooting.

The TOR reticle is better suited for PRS, NRL, rimfire precision, and extreme long-range applications where a denser holdover grid and finer reference points can be an advantage.

Q3. How is Arken's J-XED glass different from the XD or HD glass often advertised by other brands?

Glass terminology such as XD and HD can vary from brand to brand. Arken's Japanese Extremely Extra-Low Dispersion (J-XED) glass is designed to reduce chromatic aberration and color fringing, helping deliver clean image edges, accurate color reproduction, and improved fine-detail resolution at distance. In the EP-5 GENII 5-25x56 FFP, J-XED glass works with the redesigned optical system to maintain a sharp, high-contrast image across the magnification range, especially at higher power.

Q4. Why was the scope body extended to 15.6 inches, and what visual benefit does that create?

The longer 15.6-inch scope body provides additional room for a refined optical layout and optimized lens spacing. This allows light to be controlled more precisely throughout the optical system, helping reduce field curvature and chromatic aberration while improving edge-to-edge sharpness. The result is a cleaner, more consistent image with better detail resolution across the magnification range. For a deeper look at the EP-5 GENII upgrades and key differences from the original EP-5, read our full review.

Q5. Can this scope handle Magnum recoil and still maintain consistent tracking?

Yes. The EP-5 GENII 5-25x56 was built for serious use on hard-recoiling rifles and precision long-range platforms. Its reinforced internal design helps maintain consistent tracking through repeated recoil. Rated for .50 BMG recoil, it is engineered for dependable performance and zero retention under heavy use. In internal shock testing, it was subjected to 800G for 600 cycles, with point-of-impact shift remaining within 1/4 MOA.

Q6. What should I do if I lose an adjustment screw or another accessory?

If you lose an adjustment screw or need help with an accessory, please contact Arken's U.S. support team directly at +1 346-895-0175 or info@arkenopticsusa.com. Our team will be happy to assist and provide guidance on the best available solution.
