Description

Combining Standalone Scope, Clip-On, and Handheld Monocular in one versatile device, the HS650 delivers flagship thermal imaging and unmatched clarity. Standard with a QDM150 quick detach mount, it allows effortless switching between handheld scanning and rifle-mounted use. Built for hunters who demand ultimate precision and adaptability, it ensures peak performance in any scenario.

Enable seamless transition from rifle-mounted (clip-on or standalone scope) to handheld use. No re-zero required.

Allow quick detachment and easy transfer between rifles, functioning as a scope on one and a clip-on on another.

Powerful Thermal Imaging for Clear,
Real-Time Vision

Whether you're scanning tree lines, open fields, or dense brush, the HS219 helps reveal heat signatures with clarity. Its 12 μm, ≤25 mK 256×192 thermal sensor delivers smooth 50 fps imaging, while the 1024×768 Micro-OLED display provides crisp detail for confident target identification. A 2x base magnification with up to 8x digital zoom gives you the flexibility to observe nearby movement or inspect distant heat sources.

AI-Powered Image Super Resolution (ISR)
for Extra Clarity

DNT's proprietary Image Super Resolution (ISR) enhances the 256 sensor to deliver image quality comparable to a 384 sensor. When digitally zooming to inspect game or distant heat signatures, ISR reduces the loss of fine detail, producing sharper images without compromising smoothness or responsiveness.

8 Thermal Color Palettes for Every Environment

Choose from 8 thermal color palettes to match changing terrain, weather, and background conditions. Whether detecting subtle heat differences or maximizing target contrast, the right palette helps you spot and identify targets more effectively.

Long-Lasting Power in a Compact,
Durable Package

At just 13.2 oz (373 g), the HS219 is built for all-day carry. Two rechargeable batteries are included, providing up to 11 hours of total runtime, so you can spend more time hunting, scouting, or patrolling and less time worrying about power.

Unlock More Possibilities with the DNT App

Pair the HS219 with the DNT App to view live footage, relive memorable moments, and manage your videos right from your smartphone. From organizing recordings to sharing memorable hunts with friends, the app helps keep every adventure ready to revisit.

INFORMATION QUESTIONS

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What recoil is the HS219 rated for, and will it work on 5.56, 7.62×39, or .308 rifles?

Yes. The HS219 is recoil-rated up to .50 BMG, making it suitable for popular calibers such as 5.56 NATO, 7.62×39, and .308 Winchester. Whether you're hunting hogs, deer, or predators, the HS219 is built to withstand repeated recoil and deliver dependable performance when properly mounted.

What changes when I switch the HS219 to Clip-on Mode?

When switching to clip-on mode, you may notice the thermal image shrinks slightly on the display. This occurs because the image must be locked at an exact 2x optical magnification to maintain compatibility with your day scope's reticle. This ensures you can still use the MIL or MOA grids on your glass optic for accurate range estimation and holdovers.
The 'Divide by 2' Rule
Because the thermal image is displayed at 2x magnification, you must divide your reticle measurements in half when calculating holdovers or range.
·Example: If a target spans 2 MILs on your day scope's reticle, its actual measurement is 1 MIL.
·Formula: Actual Value = Reticle Reading / 2

Can I use the HS219 thermal clip-on with my existing daytime optic?

Yes, all DNT HYDRA scopes work seamlessly as a front-mounted thermal clip-on for your existing daytime optic, mounting directly to your Picatinny rail in front of your objective lens without altering your eye relief. For the best optical performance, DNT suggests pairing the unit with red dots, holographic sights, or Low-Power Variable Optics (LPVOs) that have a maximum base magnification of 3x. Keeping your daytime scope zoomed within this 1x to 3x range is ideal, as it preserves edge-to-edge image clarity and prevents pixelation of the internal digital display while ensuring all on-screen menus and indicators remain fully visible within your sight picture.

Is the HS219 only for nighttime use?

No. The HS219 detects heat rather than visible light, so it works in both daylight and darkness. Whether you're scanning fields during the day or hunting after sunset, it provides reliable target detection across a wide range of lighting conditions.

Does it still work with background lights or in bright conditions?

Yes. Unlike traditional night vision, thermal imaging is not dependent on visible light, so headlights, yard lights, or city glow are usually less of an issue. What matters more is thermal contrast. Conditions such as very hot ground, heavy rain, or dense fog can reduce image detail and effective range.

Can the HS219 see through glass, such as a window or windshield?

No. Like other thermal optics, the HS219 cannot see through standard glass because glass blocks and reflects infrared energy. If you're scanning from a vehicle or hunting blind, you'll need an open window or another clear line of sight for the thermal sensor to detect heat signatures accurately.

How far can the HS219 really see?

The distance you can effectively use the HS219 depends on the target size, weather, terrain, and whether you're detecting a heat source or positively identifying it. As a 256×192 thermal with a 19 mm lens, it's best suited for close- to mid-range hunting and observation. While larger heat sources can be detected at much greater distances, positive identification and ethical shot placement are typically achieved at considerably shorter ranges.

Could it spot a deer at 300 yards?

It depends on environmental conditions, but the HS219 is primarily designed for close- to mid-range use. While larger animals may be detected at 300 yards or beyond under favorable conditions, positive identification at that distance can be challenging with a 256×192 thermal sensor. Hunters who frequently positively identify targets and make ethical shots at 300 to 400 yards should consider a higher-resolution thermal optic with a larger objective lens.

What warranty comes with the HS219?

The HS219 is covered by a 3-year warranty with product registration.
