Arken's First All-Round Hunting Scope
Built for hunters who adapt to changing terrain and shooting distances, the OUTRIDER 2-12x42 SFP combines lightweight handling, dependable precision, and all-weather reliability in a versatile riflescope. From the wide field of view at 2x for fast target acquisition to the precision of 12x for confident longer shots, it is designed around the way hunters hunt.
See Earlier, Stay Later
Premium Japanese HD glass with Super Bright Fully Multi-Coated Optics delivers 90%+ light transmission, providing a bright, high-contrast image from dawn to dusk. With improved clarity in challenging light, you can spot game earlier, identify details faster, and make the most of every shooting opportunity.
100% Wider Field of View* for Dynamic Hunts
At 2x base magnification, the OUTRIDER 2-12x42 SFP delivers an ultra-wide 58.83 ft field of view at 100 yards for rapid terrain scanning and quick target acquisition. The forgiving eye box helps achieve a fast, natural sight picture for confident follow-up shots from offhand or improvised positions.
*Compared to typical 4-12x hunting scopes based on field of view at their base magnification.
Choose Your Reticle: FDR or DLR
The OUTRIDER offers two Second Focal Plane (SFP) reticle options, maintaining a consistent reticle size throughout the magnification range for a clear, intuitive aiming reference.
FDR | Daylight-Bright Illumination
Powered by fiber-optic illumination, the Fiber Duplex Reticle (FDR) features a daylight-bright aiming point that draws the eye naturally to the reticle center. Six brightness levels allow quick adjustment for different lighting conditions, keeping the aiming point visible from bright daylight to fading light.
DLR | Classic Duplex Simplicity
For hunters who prefer a traditional aiming reference, the Duplex Reticle (DLR) provides a clean sight picture with bold outer posts and a fine center aiming point for precise shot placement.

INFORMATION QUESTIONS
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q1. What defines the Arken OUTRIDER Series, and how does it fit into the Arken lineup?
Arken is best known for high-precision, long-range First Focal Plane (FFP) tactical riflescopes. The OUTRIDER Series expands the lineup with a lightweight, compact hunting optic platform featuring a Second Focal Plane (SFP) reticle that maintains consistent size and visibility across all magnifications. Designed for modern hunters, the OUTRIDER Series combines fast target acquisition, reliable precision, and all-weather durability in a rugged yet portable platform built for demanding outdoor conditions.
Q2. Which OUTRIDER magnification range should I choose — 2-12x42 or 3-18x50?
It depends on your hunting style and typical shooting distance.
The OUTRIDER 2-12x42 is the lighter, more compact choice for hunters who prioritize mobility and fast target acquisition. Its wider field of view makes it ideal for mountain hunting, walk-and-stalk, and mobile field use.
The OUTRIDER 3-18x50 is designed for hunters who need more magnification and precision at longer distances. With a larger objective lens and adjustable parallax, it is better suited for open-country hunting and extended-range applications.
Q3. What is the difference between the FDR and DLR reticles across the OUTRIDER series?
Both FDR and DLR are Second Focal Plane (SFP) Duplex reticles designed for fast target acquisition and precise aiming. The main difference is illumination.
FDR (Fiber Duplex Reticle) uses fiber-optic technology to illuminate the center aiming point, improving visibility and target acquisition in low-light or changing conditions.
DLR (Duplex Reticle) uses a classic duplex pattern with bold outer posts and a fine center point, providing a simple and precise sight picture without illumination.
Choose FDR if you want an illuminated aiming point for improved visibility in low-light conditions. Choose DLR if you prioritize a lightweight, affordable option designed for simplicity and value.
Q4. How do OUTRIDER scopes perform in harsh weather and low-light hunting conditions?
The OUTRIDER Series is built to deliver a clear sight picture and reliable performance in demanding field conditions. Japanese HD glass, high light transmission, and SFP reticles help maintain image clarity and reticle visibility from dawn to dusk. The FDR option adds an illuminated center point for improved visibility when light is limited. A hydrophobic lens coating helps repel water and oil, while waterproof, fogproof, and dustproof protection keeps the optic ready for changing outdoor environments.
Q5. Why does the OUTRIDER 2-12x42 use fixed parallax while the 3-18x50 uses adjustable parallax?
The OUTRIDER 2-12x42 uses a factory-set 100-yard fixed parallax, paired with a forgiving eyebox and large eyepiece to prioritize speed and simplicity in the field. The fixed-parallax design eliminates the need for manual side-focus adjustments, helping hunters stay focused on the target in fast-moving situations.
The OUTRIDER 3-18x50 is designed for higher magnification and longer-range applications, where precise parallax control becomes more important. Its side-focus adjustment allows hunters to fine-tune focus at different distances for greater aiming precision.
